  • Medical Markings

One of the things I found that I found I fell out of habit upon my depature from the Military is marking myself and my immediate gear with medical information. There is a number of ways to do it from braclets, dog tags, velcro patches to a common ole sharpie.

These things are important and important for those around you to know. In keeping with OPSEC if you notice the inside of my pack carry handle is marked rather than screaming survivalist/prepper/contractor aka "probably carrying a gun". The dog tags are worn inside the shirt as well, non-gangster style. My family knows what the data is and where the markings are if they can't remember during a traumatic event. Beginning as a Team Leader and continuing thru Platoon Sergeant it was my duty to have everyones info down in "the book" and/or my mind and as a family leader it is the same.
IMO Allergies should be worn outside where even strangers can see though and that is not uncommon as seeing blood types.
NKA = No Known Allergies and as you can see by this stuff there is an allergy to penicillian.
This is one of my projects i'm working on is getting everyones stuff marked.

Great Advise Matt, I've been trying to figure out how to get my blood type on my person without a tacti-bling patch.

Exactly! This is what I'm working on. These are our hunting caps where the likelyhood of high risk injury can take place during normal times
