What about plantain and comfrey? I know plantain is found in my area (West TN) though I'm not sure of its specific areas. I've read and heard many times that using plantain and comfrey in a salve can help with healing rashes and such. As I haven't done a whole lot of research on the preparations or uses per se, I can't recommend anything except more research on it. I found a link that has a recipe and some pictures showing how it helped. Would it be okay to post it?

I've been using cinnamon for several years now, and haven't had a cold or flu. I just sprinkle it fairly heavy on the oatmeal in the morning. I like the taste of it anyway, and if it wards off colds, I'm using it! As for plantain, I've used it on spider bites. The stuff grows everywhere. You take a bit of the leaf, chew it until you can taste it, and put it on the bite. The sting goes away immediately. Plantain I use has a broad leaf and grows near the ground. The veins start at the base and go outward from there, rather than one vein up the middle and all the rest growing out from it. It's supposed to work well for brown recluse bites too, but for that, I have seen people use meat tenderizer. It nullifies the protein in the bite that causes the problems.

I drink a hot green tea mixture on non coffee days with cinnamon and honey in it. Works real well. And on the days I go without it, I get sick a whole lot easier. My wife thinks its in my mind.............. real homemade honey seems to work better. Wish I had a dang cinnamon tree. You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?
