I found the best way to lower blood pressure is to eat right and keeping in shape by exercising daily. I had a couple friends and a brother-in-law that decided to get back in shape in their late 40's and late 50's. All three of them lowered their blood pressure and was taken off of the blood pressure meds they had been using.

With all the emphasis on taking calcium, many people are actually deficient in the complimentary mineral, magnesium. Magnesium deficiency is a cause for high blood pressure, and can cause heart attacks. Deficiency can also cause asthma and hay fever symptoms. Calcium is a part of a muscle's contraction chemistry, magnesium is part of the relaxation chemistry.

Natural medicine books I have suggest magnesium to alleviate asthma, and it has helped friends of mine with asthma and allergies as well. Two people I worked with no longer needed allergy shots after they started taking 500 mg daily of magnesium.III We are everywhere.

How much hibiscus tea is needed to be effective and what studies have been done on it? High Blood Pressure can be caused by several different things. Overweight and lack of fitness, bad diet, genetics, kidney problems etc. There is probably not just one treatment for all conditions.

I agree. I didn't post doseages and such, because I am not comfortable offering medical advice on something that I only know from a magazine article. Rather than reposting my synopsis of the article, I would much rather point it out to people and if they are interested let them pursue the information themselves.Originally posted by Ruthmary View PostHow much hibiscus tea is needed to be effective and what studies have been done on it?
