Yes complications will happen just as they have in my life when dealing with medical emergencies and I will fail just as has happened before but I have also had success. I refuse to take a defeatest attitude and am capable of dealing with my mental trauma so far. That may change but i made that choice to to SOMETHING a long time ago as a teen and deal with what comes as I find it easier than knowing i sat idely by.
I am trying to stockpile what i can in supplies to include antibiotics (which is complicated to a knuckledragger like me) but will fall short if it goes into other things. There are a ton of cases without the extreme medical care that made it in the old west and just as many that didnt but they gave it a shot irregardless even without needed items. My Grandfather, when i was a child, was an example of this after he got into a fight and he and the man who owed him money perforated each other with pitchforks. Neither went in and both lived after a long time of care and went on to live healthy lives. Bet they woulda liked one of these instead of the dressing, lard and medicines they got
This is a tool to get to what comes next, true enough, but there are also different types and levels. If they take a hit at 40yds with a 30-06 with multiple organ detruction and bone shards ripping thru lung material they are done and i will call them humpty dumpty. If they get a small hole from a tree branch without even a rib break then things are different. I've seen multiple deer that took rifle (30-30 and 22s) and arrow hits and healed with zero care and were taken later with the stuff still in them so it can be done. I'm not playing DR or even any other qualified medical person here but trying to get them back to one and these are viable tools even post SHTF.
