  • source for antibiotics found

Just found out that you can buy prescription grade antibiotics for Aquariums....of all things! Very reasonable prices. Go on line to check which antibiotic is for what type of illnesses, proper doses, etc. There is one there for antrax, streep, yeast infection, etc, etc, etc.

If you are so inclined. stock pile why you can.

Amazon.com sells them also as do many on-line Vet supply companies.

Here is another site that has a few more for sale. Prices are about the same, just a few more antibiotics.

So is someone knowledgeable about the specific ingredients in these verses normal anti-antibiotics. I've had them on my Amazon list for a while, but have been hesitant to purchase some until I know for sure that they are the same as normal antibiotics.

          Thanks!

There are a few that give you a picture of the "fish" antibiotic so you can compare it on drugs.com, and you will see that many are IDENTICAL to what is given to humans...

Here is a good example for CIPRO

My M.D. and 2 different Vets both told me they are made by the same drug companies out of the exact same ingredients and even in the same dosages, just labeled differently to double their market. One just needs to know pretty accurately WHHAT you need to treat in order to use the appropriate medication for the appropriate amount of time.

Thanks for the responses! I'll definitely keep looking into them... as I want to be careful, especially since antibiotics severely lower your immune system while you're on them. It's not something which I even want to have to take unless it's completely necessary.
Good advice on finding out about the specific type and length of time which each should be taken for specific problems.

Get yourself a pill book and a PDR (Physicians Desk Reference)...my wife is a Nurse and so is my MIL...i almost have a nursing degree by osmosis  I have looked through the pill book and it is jam packed of all kinds of meds out there.

The pill books usually have a pic and I think they also list what they commonly treat. I believe it also has the name brand name as well as the generic.
