I recently went through my College Textbooks, I discovered a wealth of information for treatment of illness and injury WITHOUT the use of technology.
I loved it. In fact, I had forgotten that until the technology explosion of the 80's - hospitals were essential using very basic heart monitors and crude infusion pumps.
