  • DIY Help...SWIVEL FOR LEATHER SHEATH

    OK, if anyone could help on this, someone here can...

    I am looking for a swivel of the type used on the old police swivel holsters that fastens the belt-loop to the holster body? A leather-craft supplier must have something like this but I cannot, for the life of me, find it. I need them for some sheaths I'm having made.

    Here's some examples of what I am talking about...

    Those look like chicago screws. The side shown is the post that fits through the punched hole. The other side has a slotted screw that screws into the post. The screw itself doesn't swivel. The leather swivels around the post. Or could just be a rivet. Same concept except the backing is press fitted.

        Thanks guys...

        The general consensus from all the leathercrafters I talked to is an eyelet in the leather, Chicago screw through the eyelet, with washers...
