  • Water from the sun and grass

Ok you may or may not have seen this on tv. take a plastic tub put some green vegetation. in the middle place somthing to hold your water. now cover with plastic sheeting and some how tape or wight down your sheeting. in the middle of the sheeting over you water holder place a small wight to psh on the sheeting. let the sun het this up it will pull the water out of the greens and form on the sheeting and drip into your water holder. Thanks.

I have done this several times but it doesn't yield a lot of water. A couple of refinements add a drinking tube, such as a long piece of surgical tubing from the outside to the cup. This allows you to drink with out stopping the process. Also to help increase the production you can urinate into the soil near the still. while I didn't do a scientific experiement to see how much it incresed the production but it did. Also if you place your still on a outside bend of a dry creek bed (where the water was pushed into the soil) you will get more.
But total production may only be pints of water, so you can set out multipule stills.
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?

I remember seeing something like this 2 years ago and never forgot it. Seems like a really good emergency option.
