  • My trip down Nylon way.

Well after seeing all the fun things you can make with nylon I went ahead and bought 12 yards of this CADPAT design. I think it will work well with in the pine trees of Texas so hey why not. So far I have made a 5 x 6 tarp that went in the emergency kit. I have also made 2 draw string backpacks, one I my size and one for my son (who runs away from me when I try to put it on him). The most recent creation is the 10 x 9 tarp, I still have a few more tie downs to add and i need to seal the center seam, but the hard part is done. You can see the below rolled up and stuffed in a little bag I made with some excess. I still have 4 yards left and with that i will make a Hammock out of 3, and the other some more stuff sacks and who knows what else. In the near future I will take the small tarp into the woods and see how it looks at distance, Lets find out of Canadians know anything about camouflage. I also need to find some black touch up paint to the grommets on the bags they sort of stick out.
