  • Requested Prayer

I need your prayers for a major descision.
15 yrs. ago I served as a pastor for 17 yrs...the same congregation all those yrs. The past 15 yrs. I have served as a chaplen on a sport circut traveling the continental U.S.
I'm starting to feel the call to start a new church (non 501c3).
Please pray for me as this would be a big change...the finances, organizing, and "enemy attack" would be a big mountain of faith.
As I have traveled the U.S. and have seen the lack of pastors to lead their congregations to speak the truth from the pulpit and to be the "salt" of the earth for fear of Government retribution and etc... is a main driving force....

Wow it sure sounds like your being called to a definite need, I know a GOOD pastor is sure needed around here. Your concerns are valid ones and I will keep you in my prayers. Good luck with whatever direction you choose.

I wish you all the luck! Our old preacher was at a military church, and was told in no exact terms, to stop bashing obama. We quit going to the onpost church after we found out he was asked not to return.

          hmm.
snake doesn't seem like a good name at first. but.. i guess we are all "snake bitten"
          so,
          snake,
i have great confirmation. praying that the Lord will confirm and lead, guide, and open doors.
can you make tents, carpenter, doctor, tax collect, fish, or other method of work so that
you can do this without being on the Church payroll? may i humbly suggest you consider that approach.
my best Christian experiences have been in small groups "house churches."

          God bless.

I hope (and prayers is) that you find the answer to this "direct" question about the will of God in your life.

I personally believe that the 5013c status will mean you have a smaller group and will be questioned by a lot of people, neither is a bad thing, but i believe you will end up with a stronger group more able and willing to stand behind you when tough times come.
