  • Say a lil prayer for momma

My mom recently found out she had breast cancer, in both breasts. Had a double miscectomy (sp) today and they removed it all plus 4 lymph nodes.
She called me when she was all morphined up which was kinda funny to hear her talking goofy. Needless to say she is doing well.
--She will not need chemo thank GOD--

She has a long road ahead of her. Not to mention she already has MS and Diabetes at the ripe age of 52.

I usually dont ask anyone for prayers or even let most into my personal life but with her trio of ailments, it will be a lot tougher than most, and she will need all the help she can get. She is a tough lady. 3rd degree black belt, numerous martial arts certifications and weapons certs. Has lived through hell doused in gasoline and still comes out smelling like a rose the last 20 years.

Right now Chuck Norris is in FEAR.

    Thanks

I'll keep her in my prayers! The C-word is scary no matter what. It sounds like your mom is a real fighter; mentally, emotionally and physically. The best thing she can have right now, other than a deep faith, is the support of her family which it looks like she's lucky enough to have. My mom had non-Hodgekins Lymphoma so I have a small idea of what you're going through. It's touch, but God will see you all through. Best wishes and prayers....

                      Momma update.

She is a beast. Was told not to drive for 4 weeks, well if you can tap your foot (like a gas pedal) and hold your arms out and move em (like a steering wheel) then you can drive. Thats what she told me.
Hell, she tried to lift my 33lb 1 year old cuz grandma wanted some sugar. I know it hurt her like crazy. She isnt taking much pain pills which is good. She found that after having 2 breasts removed the best way to sleep is in a recliner....

                      Strong lady right there!

My Oncologist told me that half the battle, with cancer, is attitude. My family's prayers are with your mom and your family.
When the woman at the door screeched, "Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms!" I, naturally, assumed it was a delivery....
