I will pass on my rain dance.

I think we are going to get some in GA soon, I hope.

Its so hot I think it would evaporate before it hit the ground.

the weather man says 30% chance of rain for tuesday
we ask respectfully at every meal and often during the day.
tonight we are hearing thunder and see lightning.
        thank You Lord.
i believe You are sending rain soon

They are saying 30% for us too. I pray we do! Not only do we need it, but the sad truth is you can't expect people to act like they have good sense on the 4th. We've been invited to my sister's to celebrate (40 miles away), and we are afraid to leave, for fear some moron will "accidently" torch the place with fireworks.

apologies to all and especially HIM
sunday night after the lightning and thunder...
            we had a good rain.
we were thankful during the night and especially
yesterday (monday) morning as it was clear HIS
            creation responded to the rain.

            Thank You Lord.

The ground is cracking here too in OK. 50% chance of rain tomorrow. Praying it will hit OK then move right on east for MustangGal and her bunch and keep going for you guys/gals in the southeast.

We are so thankful! We got a nice rain today and praying we get more tomorrow! We had to make our weekly pilgrimage to the Home Depot. It started raining while we were gone, and we were praying we would get some at home. Came home to mudpuddles! I never thought mudpuddles were beautiful...until now!

Justified: Praying ya'll get rain too!

Thank you MustangGal. That moisture from the south should hit us this evening or tomorrow.

We recieved a good crop saving 1.5 inches last evening, right before the quarter sized hail and 50 mph winds!! about a tenth of my corn is lodged and some of the beans are down too. We set our tomatoes in a zigzag pattern this year with t posts every 4 plants then criss crossed bailing twine in six inch high sections up the plants. (clear as mud, right?) WORKED PERFECT!
Not a single tomato lost or plant blown over.

                      x , ' , ' x , ' , ' x , ' , ' x , ' , ' x , ' , ' x , ' , ' x row equalled 70' - We tied at post (x) at far left, twine went under, over, under, over wrap around post (x) under, over, under, over wrap around post......... and tie off again at far end, Then up the post six inches then the opposite sides but same pattern again.

We use bailing twine on our pole beans/peas/cukes also X---------X---------X---------X---------X We use cattle panel 54" high with the 4x4 holes t-post at each end of the panel and a post in the center, they are 16' long. The drawing shows two panels, we then use twine as a "safety belt" tied at the end of the rows to hold the plants to the panels.

Didn't mean to go on and on, but this was thought up to save our plants against weather and the weight of production. It Worked!!
Do the right thing, because it is the right thing to do!

Great idea Bio! I'll remember that when I start planting next year since we often get high winds with our storms here.
