My 85+ Grandma is in her last days, she has a fibrosis of the lungs, she is on comfort measures on the extended care floor, she hasn't ate or drank since Sunday, and they have her on a morphine pump since Tuesday. We all know whats coming but some members of my family are sitting by her side watching her gasp for breath, she will take a breath and then there is a long pause before her next so you end up wondering if that was her last but she takes another breath after 30 seconds or so. It is brutal to watch this. So pray for mercy for her as well as the family members that are by her side.

I am praying for your family and that you all will feel God's peace during this time.
SC"Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Thank you all for your prayers. Now it is time to pick up the pieces and continue to look after my grandpa who is 93. God was merciful and didn't let this drag on for months. To help cope with my grief I took my 4 year old son out fishing for the first time on Monday and we also went fishing after the funeral on Tuesday. Nothing like father son bonding and hearing him say "this is sooo awesome" when he was catching his fish. The way he said that reminded me of the hamster/gerbel in the movie "Bolt", probably where he got it from."It's a trap!!!!" -- Admiral Ackbar
