  • Lots of Prayer Needed Now thru Thursday.

I am at the end of my rope!

I have this tooth see, and it's had a root canal done, and then redone. Now the tooth is bad again, and it's coming out Thursday, God willing. The tooth has an abscess, and is causing all kinds of swelling on my lower jaw. The Periodontist says he wants to get that swelling down before the extraction. Apparently, the active infection prevents the medicine that numbs your jaw from working. I never knew that! I'm glad I know it now.

I'm a big fan of sharing burdens. I have people that I share burdens with, usually, for me, I don't have to share burdens about what's going on with me physically. I'm usually helping someone with their physical burdens! God is always teaching me to be honest with people, so I am being honest with you.

I've never been in this much pain. It genuinely hurts, and nothing gives me relief for more than a very short time. I'm taking pain pills, and advil, and I am on my second antibiotic. I can't sleep, I can barely function at work, and I'm getting short with my kids.
SO please pray for my pain. Pray that I don't have to wait any longer than thursday to get this tooth out. Pray for my patience.
    I'm tired.

Prayer sent. Been there done that. Had an abscess that made my cheek swell up to the size of a baseball, Dentist did a root canal on it (released all kinds of nasty pus) packed it with meds and sent me home on antibiotics. I didn't realize that a tooth could have multiple root canals. I have had more than my fair share and have had a couple pulled. I would have them just pull it forget the pain meds just get it done.

qrprat77, consider my prayers sent and I can understand completely.
I have fought tooth problems most of my life. The first at 10 when the Dentist told my Mom I would loose my teeth by the time I was 40. I had a disease/disorder in my gums (been to long ago to remember what it was called). since then I have had, absesses, cavities, chipped/broken teeth etc. all the while trying to fix the problem with assorted dental procedures.

January of this year I finally decided to make it a more permanent fix. I decided to remove all of the problem..Over the last couple months I have had extractions of around 6-8 teeth at a time. With the last appointment Mon. two days ago. The dentist removed the last 12 (front teeth top and bottom) and had my dentures ready to put in. The extraction wasnt so bad but the dentures on top of the bloody holes sucks! Not to mention I have several bone spurs that have added pressure from the plates.

What's that youth saying I hear kids say? "I feel ya" or something like that. My wife and I have been praying that I get through this and we'll add you into our prayers.

                  Hang in there buddy.

Prayers sent. "I feel your pain." I thought it would be a good idea to break a tooth off even with my gum line, using a large crowbar, at work. Actually, I didn't think it was a good idea, but what I was doing had to be done, and there wasn't any safer way to do it. Sooooo, that's what I did, and I'm trying to get dental work before it begins to hurt any more also. Got the job done though. It would be nice to be able to afford to get some of those metal shark teeth the guy on the old 007 movie had. They could really come in handy if TSHTF, huh?
