I worked Sunday night at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. We worked through the night to send some Ambulances and our Task Force 1 to Joplin. As I type this we are starting to get some casualties from the tornado. In talking with the ambulance crews as they return they describe a very bad situation. I will not repeat what they said because it is on every station and channel. I will say that the people here were all about wanting to rush in and help. We have them all in our thoughts here in Columbia.
Man created shotguns because God created cats.
Man, those Muslims sure are worried about what they eat. I went over there and all I heard was Alohaaaaa Snack-bar.
I know you medical & emergency folks will be putting in some long, hard hours. I pray God gives you supernatural stamina & clarity of mind. Please let us know of anything we can do.
I had forgotten that I wanted to offer help to anyone on this forum that has been caught in this disaster. I have very limited resources (will not give money) but I am not far away. Give me a shout and I will see what I can do. ibetiny@hotmail.com

It's 5 a.m. and there is a tornado on the ground in southern Missouri. It's 150 miles from me, but it's storming here, with plenty of thunder-boomers and lightning. What's up with the weather this year? The last couple of years, for that matter. Several people have said that our seasons have moved back a month, so we're getting April showers in May. I know we got a lot of rain in April, too. Hmmm, maybe it's all the rain that they didn't get in Texas? We're getting flooding, and they're getting drought. Any bets that the oil spill had something to do with it? I've heard that the oil changed the temperature of the water in the gulf, which changed the gulf stream, which screwed up our weather. Who knows? All I know is that it's NOT normal weather here.
