Romans 13:1-7 states: "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor."
Read IRS and he needs to be real careful about judgement of Christians, please tell him don't fall into the same sin I do daily by judgement of others. Something has him upset that's for sure, be nice to know what that is. In most of these cases of his heros GOD/JESUS told them directly what to do. Has he been ordered to do so? I know nothing of "501(c)3 non-profit" so I will study on it some before further discussion on the matter. Christians are told to tell the truth even against other Christians.
I will not directly be involved in any "defying a civil authority" or overthrow talk against America ever. Especially when lives are not directly being directly endangered. Ours are not by any means. It doesn't mean I like the way things are, I don't, but there are ways to change things. Tell Mr. Baldwin -Do Not Forget The Bible, it is Gods word.

He seems to have a "burr under his saddle". I am a deacon and I would not do the things he listed. Some things are just beyond even thinking about doing. Granted there are many "luke warm" "Christians" but the majority of them were shaped by "preachers" with "itching ear" syndrome. They have feel good, PC, liberal, non Biblical, sermons and many even deny the basics of Biblical teachings. So whose fault is it that "we" are the way we are. We DO share part of the blame by allowing this sort of watered down preaching to go on. "Without a vision the people perish" and most leaders have no vision. They have a big church, big salary, big name agenda instead of a big Jesus itinerary. Paul said he was a slave to Jesus and the gospel message. How many preachers do you know that can or even want to say that????? We have strayed very far from the pureness and loveliness of the truth of the gospel. Even he did not mention that Joseph spent 13 years in prison wrongfully accused, Moses spent 40+ years in the wilderness, Jesus spent 40 days in the desert after His baptism, and Paul was imprisoned when he wrote most of the letters to the churches. We want everything easy and quick but that is not the way it is going to happen.
If we want change we will have to do as D.L. Moody did--pray and pray long and hard. God honors the "effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man". That is a promise that we all can rely upon.
