RR- we found out that the local Post Office closed at NOON on Wednesday when we arrived there with a dozen packages on Wednesday at 12:15. Had they not closed that early it probably would have been there Friday. Thank you for your order!

Klayton- food is shipped from the factory to you. Lead times for factory fresh food have went up slightly -up to about 2 weeks. Wait till things start getting really crazy with food mid to end of next year. I'm guessing it will be back to 4-6 week lead times on factory fresh food by that time. That was the "normal" lead time in the 90's, BTW.

You can email us for a shipping quote before ordering also, as I stated in that other thread shipping on 315 lbs. of wheat won't be cheap, try to find it locally first to save shipping costs (probably well over $100. but it is 315 lbs.)

I remember Y2k, they back orders were for 6 months (at Waltons), then they quite giving dates at all. Then things straightened out.

I would place the order as soon as you can, but that is only my 2 cents.

Which is precisely why we opened a cannery back then! We closed it the end of November of 1999. After 2000 LTS food sales were practically nothing for about 3-4 years. I would say I "timed" that pretty good ;) Realistically anyone could have seen the writing on the wall, but I do remember a couple places out West that were building "1 million square foot warehouses" during the latter part of 1999. Tumbleweeds were blowing through that place for the next couple years....
