  • More coverage at less than 1/2 the weight!

Just compared an 11x14 DKX MAX III lightweight Level III armor plate with a 10x12 steel plate.

    Here is the results-

The DKX MAXIII 11X14 plate weighed in around 4 lbs.

The 10x12 steel plate weighs in around 10 lbs.

BOTTOM LINE- More coverage with LESS WEIGHT!

I got to play with these recently. They are the shiznit. I have to do some re-budgeting, because these old bones can't be abused by carrying 20 lbs of steel with all of the other sundries... Get some while you can... regards, Templar

      those are amazing

I got to use some down at Ft. Carson with the 10th.
They use the 10x12 and they just don't weigh anything.
I was used to seeing the civilian metal plates which are just as heavy but much thinner that then ESAPI plates and was kinda surprised that they were the same thickness as the ESAPI but didn't weigh squat

I was teasing and asked them if they stuffed the vest with cardboard. It was that light.

      Costly but definitely worth it.

The IOTV was amazing and I can imagine what they'd be like in just a plate carrier.
