  • Next DBAL shipment

Next shipment of Infrared lasers- the DBAL-I2 is scheduled to arrive next week. A little while back the factory was backed up almost 3 months on these.

These are the dual laser- BOTH a visible green or red laser AND an Infrared laser visible only to your night vision.

Many people, after training with their Night Vision for a while, end up head or helmet mounting the PVS14 and then placing a DBAL laser on the rifle.

Numerous advantages to setting up this way-

    1. You function normally- you need to get a "look around" you turn your head as normal. No need to raise the rifle to your shoulder- and keep it there- while looking around. When the PVS14 is weapons mounted, you have to raise the rifle to get a "look around." Great for the movies, in real life your arms get tired quick, I don't care how strong you think you are.

    2. You avoid the potential of "sweeping" others- when the NV is weapons mounted and you want to get a "look around" you have to bring the rifle to your shoulder than turn and orient the rifle towards what you want to "look" at. If your working around other people, you will be "sweeping" them- (covering them with your MUZZLE) when you do this. However if you have the NV head or helmet mounted, this doesn't happen because you turn your head NORMALLY AND NATURALLY to "look around" versus swinging your rifle around.

Whether you weapons mount the PVS14 or head or helmet mount it, you still need an aiming point. The DBAL-I2 provides a COVERT aiming point via the Infrared laser, as the infrared is INVISIBLE to the naked eye. Also, it makes it more convenient for point and "instinctive" type shooting as a shoulder mount on the rifle is not necessary with the DBAL. Just touch the pressure pad switch for the laser to mark your target.

Other uses include covert communications between others in your team that are also using Night Vision. Using the IR laser you can mark or designate targets or areas of concern. You can tap out short messages via a morse code type setup, etc.

The Reds are on sale now

And the Green visible and IR laser will be on sale tomorrow

Hey LD3 in the spec it shows the range for the IR as 75M. How accurate is the spec?? What is the dot size at that range?? estimate of course!! Can you still engage out past 100 or is it mostly CQB?

Thought I had replied to this previously, sorry-

Range is much greater than 75m in my experience with them. Take a look at the videos we linked to- one is showing the laser visible at a couple hundred yards in a field. Another is of one of the night shooting classes we have held.

As of 10-15 there are a FEW reds in stock.

Oh, heck yea! Mine that I got from JRH is the green with IR. The green goes way out past 75m and the IR has to be at least 200 or so like LD3 stated. If the BG doesn't have NV then the fight will soon be over....the range just became one way...lead going away from me.
