No problem, just email me with the item numbers, quantity and shipping info. Try to order #10 cans in increments of six. Their is six cans to a conventional case and these seem to ship the best. Shipping is actual UPS cost from the factory to you. Unfortunately shipping hasn't been cheap in many years.
We do offer some of the specialty cases with shipping costs included. We could play the "shipping is free" marketing game that others use, but to me that's unethical. We just call it what it is- shipping included. Their really is no such thing as "free shipping" as many companies call it- the shipping cost is simply included in the price of the item. A $5. can of corn that sells for $12. with "free shipping" already has $7. of shipping costs built into the price. We don't play those games at JRH :)
While it's easier to price things this way, I feel it's unethical to call it "free shipping" and I refuse to do that.
Also, as we noted in the terms of sale page, the online calculator will not correctly factor shipping for items coming from another location. Therefore we tell people to get a email quote first. It's all the ACTUAL COSTS of shipping, we don't mark it up and we don't mark up the retail per can prices.
Let me know if we can help you. ThanksLast edited by Lowdown3; 11-07-2011, 05:53 PM.www.homesteadingandsurvival.com

I recently took part in a survey with a seller after making an online purchase and I commented to them about their cost of shipping. I got the ol story of cost of materials and blah blah blah. I understand that a company needs to make money and that they need to cover the cost associated with shipping but to make a profit off the shipping feels like gouging because the shipping vendor is also going to be making a profit off of my purchase as well. Again I have no problem paying the seller for the cost to them for the order capture, invoice printing, order picking, order packing and packing materials etc. I just have a hard time when I can find the same product at the same price but lower shipping cost.
Having a seller to be upfront about the cost of shipping and transparent about it like JRH is a great relief to me and gives me confidence that I am getting the best value for my dollar and that they are making a fair profit off of me and not price gouging me. Thanks guys for the kind words.
As much as I'd love to promote ourselves as being flawless- we are human.
Here recently a gal ordered a water filter and another item. We shipped the water filter but forgot the other item. Luckily she didn't! She sent an email and we got the other item out to here with a couple free gifts.
So we aren't claiming to be perfect, but when we do mess up, we try to make it profitable for the customer ;)
Look for some awesome "Black Friday" sales coming up around Thanksgiving including some new products we will be debuting. Thanks for your support!www.homesteadingandsurvival.com
