  • Gone for too long-

Used to be a little bit active here but just got out of the habit. I was watching a Pastor Joe Fox video and the forward to his book reminded me I should drop by here. What little bit I know about prepping I learned from hanging around some of the members here, both on line and at a campfire. Hope all my old Breakfast Club buddies are well.

All is well here. Hope you and your family are well, too. When this Chinese virus kicked off and the stores were getting picked over I thought about you and your tutoring on packing those buckets with rice and beans. I did it and it was nice to know that even if Wally's World sold out of Hot Pockets, we would still be eating.

It's always a good time to come back. I'm glad you did the buckets of beans and rice! I vacuum sealed MANY canning jars full of rice, beans, dehydrated sliced potatoes, and grain in the late 90's. Occasionally I cook a jar of beans, and they're still good. I'm glad to have all of it. If this situation continues much longer, we'll all be happy for the preparations we made.

i live in ag area of country...

many stories are coming out about farmers and dairymen not being able to move their product.

dairymen pouring out milk, farmers letting fruit and veggies go bad for a various pile of reasons.

a few are getting the product into local use... which is nice of them, but the bigger problem arises weeks and months from now when current production isn't in the pipeline.

Gordon, I think we may have met at one of those campfires many moons ago. Like may 9-10 years or so? I too have been gone for quite some time. Anyone remember me? Georgia Brewer??

Looks like from your post count you just made the cut! We "pruned" users with just a few posts years ago.

Good to see you GSC- get some posts made so you don't get pruned on the next cull! :)
