  • Hello from my home in New York

Hi everyone. I am relatively new to the prepper community. I feel like I have a ton to learn but I do have some knowledge and skills that I hope will help me keep my family alive after TSHTF. I live in the middle of the city and am unable to have any sort of BOL. I am a mother of five and confined to a wheelchair. I do not have the financial means to buy tons of survival gear, however, I do buy extra items every time I shop. If anyone has any ideas of how a wheelchair bound person can prepare for themselves and their extended family I will appreciate any ideas. I do all that I can to prepare but I just wish I could have help from my family but they do not agree with my motives for preparing.
My life is dedicated to my family. All I want is for all of my family to be able to be the best that they can.
This is just my short intro about me. I am UrbanAngie and I hope to learn from all of you and maybe teach you some things too.

"One cannot but ponder the question: what if the Arabs had been Christians? To me it seems certain that the fatalistic teachings of Mohammed and the utter degradation of women is the outstanding cause for the arrested development of the Arab. He is exactly what he was around the year 700, while we have kept on developing. Here, I think, is a text for some eloquent sermon on the virtues of Christianity." - General George S. Patton, diary, June 9, 1943.

Welcome, angie. You are starting - by buying a little extra food to put away whenever you can. Do not forget bottled water. A person can live for a while without food, but just a few days without water is a bad thing.

                    Welcome to the forum Angie.

You've come to the right place at the right time.

Don't let others get you down, just keep doing what you're doing buying a little at a time. Above all don't forget prayer, the Lord hears all.
