Just taking a minute to say "hey" and to do a quick and dirty intro. My wife and I are as far behind the curve for survival and preparedness as one could be - but we plan on changing that from this point going forward. I have said for some time that prepping would not be a bad thing. She recently finished reading "One Second After" and now she is ready.

I look forward to reading the wealth of info on this site. Whatever little we may have to offer we will gladly share.

We are in our very early 60s and both in relatively good health, my having a pacemaker installed four weeks ago and being 100% pacemaker dependent now not withstanding.

I am a CPA. She is a retired Nurse Anesthetist. And we both stand solid in our Christianity. And accordingly, because I know that God is listening, I am praying for you and this forum.

Do a quick search before asking your question, we have talked about a lot of things so it might be covered.

Include meta tags on threads you start so that they will be easier to search for.

                Welcome from Ohio!

We were all behind the curve at some point so don't let that discourage you.

One Second After was a depressing book for me, you might also try Patriots or Lights Out.

I'm in my mid 50's and have a disability but I'm not rollin over for anyone. Got a friend with a pacemaker and he does pretty much what he wants so don't let that slow ya down.

Prayers accepted and to you as well.
