  • army vet here. 60+ years old

I was raised on a farm that had no running water or electricity. We gardened, milked cows by hand, made our own butter, heated with coal stoves> I split logs for kindling, pumped water by hand, had a privvie, all that stuff. :-) I've cast bullets, smithed my own guns, loaded ammo, made black belt, trained sentry dogs, hunted with ccw guns and loads, lived out of a backpack for weeks at a time, lived in a van for months at a time.

well, that also means that I'm OLD, pard. :-)
a lot of that experience was a huge waste of time and money. In fact, 90+% of it was. Fun, at the time, but not really beneficial to me. in fact, a lot of it was harmful. I should have invested the money that I burned in ammo when I was young, and I'd have had tons of money to burn later in life. converting big old houses into weekly rental rooms, "sober living' contracts, makes it possible to make 50% per year. double your money every 2 years, if you don't need any of it for your expenses.
