I like bats. There are lots of little brown bats that keep down the bugs from the lake our house overlooks. DH and I enjoy the birds (have you ever seen an eagle swim? - They do a kind of butterfly with their wings.), our dogs, walking and have a big garden where we grow a decent part of our food. We live in a close-knit community and are united in being at least amused at the weather and grateful for everything else. Been a prepper since my family was in a war abroad when I was a kid. I'm still working full time, but hope to retire in a couple. Looking forward to meeting youall. Best, seraphima

A good friend of mine just moved to anchorage to take a job there. He loves it there. 2nd morning there he looked out his window and this huge moose was chewing on the tree in the back yard. Good thing his guns hadnt made it to alaska yet or he would have probably started canning moose that morning.
