  • Hello from Colorado

    Hi All,
Yep, I'm up here in the high country.
Not much to say about myself, I've seen the elephant and heard the owl.
AND, I can't type worth spit without having to correct misspellings!
    Warm regards, to all,
    /john

Welcome to S & P we are glad you are here. Lots of good people and info here.

Do a quick search before asking your question, we have talked about a lot of things so it might be covered.

Include meta tags on threads you start so that they will be easier to search for.

Check out the blog articles there is some good info there.

Look on youtube for videos made by PAW Productions - delta69alpha and also Survival Report.

Lastly share your experience with the rest of us.

      Hi John!

If you are not already, try using the Firefox web browser. You can set it up to point out mis-typed / mis-spelled words as you type them.

      See you around.

          Prc-104?

          Sure, glad to help.
I run the PRC-104 and the PRC-138 series radios.
For semi-fixed, I use an AS-2259 NVIS antenna.
For mobile, I use the vehicle wirewound whips, newer series than the GRC-193 one but don't remember the nomenclature.
For fixed, I use the AS-2259, a screwdriver, a folded dipole and sometimes a screwdriver.

For good information on the PRC-104 check out:

Good radio. that's why the marine "teams" still prefer it to the newer ones.
(That's also why so darn many of them are broken and salt encrested LOL )

Welcome from Florida. I saw the elephant, back when the PRC-25 was state of the art.
