I'm an old timer and sometimes writer/illustrator and have written a few survival articles, gun manuals, and how-to articles dating back to the late 1970s for American Survival Guide, and the Journal of American Civil Defense as well as Modern Survival magazine from 2004-2006. My books have been marketed by Paladin Press, Delta Press, and others with a few of the titles even being showing up in the private libraries of the CIA, US Marines, FEMA, the FBI’s FTU (Firearms Training Unit), and other US agencies. Excerpts from a few of my books and technical drawings have even appeared in US Congressional hearings and US Congressional press handouts (that latter bit may be on the minus side of the column of my achievements).

To be honest, I'm partly here to peddle my new.... ADMIN EDITED OUT. I'm sure you read the rules and the "read this first" thread right above your intro thread. If you want advertise here see the link at the bottom of the page for very cheap advertising, an author of a really well done book has done that and it's worked out well for him. Other than that, we had made it crystal clear enough times that we don't allow this.

Time doesn't permit me to spend much time writing on this forum (but I'll be lurking). And I certainly won't be so presumptuous as to suggest I have all the answers. I'm not keen on debating the merits of this or that caliber, politics, or tactics... and all the other old debates, but would be happy to share my opinion on things if that might be of help.

Welcome to S & P we are glad you are here. Lots of good people and info here.

Do a quick search before asking your question, we have talked about a lot of things so it might be covered.

Include meta tags on threads you start so that they will be easier to search for.

Check out the blog articles there is some good info there.

Look on youtube for videos made by PAW Productions - delta69alpha and also Survival Report.

Let me quote a couple items...

*If you want to advertise your website, store, blog, product, etc, contact 1admin FIRST. If you just start posting your website you will be considered a spammer. Spammers are automatically shown the internet version of "Law 8" and are permanently banned. Make sure you understand this....

People get banned here essentially just for two reasons- being dumbbutts and/or spamming. Again, all bans are permanent so please think before you call someone names or act like a child.

You may want to go read and comprehend that thread, then reconsider how you post. You are fortunate that 1Admin saw you first and allowed you to stay. Since you have so many years of experience, please post and get involved in this community...don't just lurk.
