I don't quite remember how I stumbled onto this forum, but a few weeks ago I kind of "woke up," so to speak while listening to some late night talk radio. I began thinking about the situations going on currently and how ill-prepared my family actually is. Of course, attempting to talk about it with my household, I'm being a little "extreme" in their opinions. All I want to do is get basic supplies and needs met. We've gone through rough times many, many times and are just now getting back to being stable financially. Through that, I learned a lot about being thrifty and stretching what we did have. Now that I'm learning specifics of how to gain a sufficient LTS for my family, I can use those skills I gained to make this do-able. I am planning an (possibly) ambitious garden for the spring, and slowly, but surely get my LTS in order. I've prowling the site for a few weeks, and am glad I found this one :) I hope some day I'll have something useful to contribute!
