Hey everybody! Recently retired and wanting to learn as much as possible about SIP (Shelter In Place), self reliance, emergency medical care, and overall survivability.
Yes I am a "gun nut". But I like to think of it as being prepared, not a nut. Whenever my colleagues ask why I have so many guns, I just smile and say, you know your going to be running to my house when the zombies attack. LOL I use "zombies" in the place of "government" for my non-survivor friends. Hard to believe that in this day, with all that is going on, there are still people who think the government will always be there to protect us. **sigh** oh well...
My gun expertise is limited to smaller guns, so don't think for a second I know anything about anti-aircraft guns or heavy antiarmor machineguns. ;) They are just not practical for me, thus I don't really bother learning about them.
Me and my family recently moved to Texas and although we are in the suburbs of San Antonio, I am frantically trying to find some farm land near a stream and a pre-existing well. If SHTF I don't think we can hide out in our current house longer than a week without drawing unnecessary attention, and would feel terrible when I had to "stop" a neighbor I knew personally from raiding my family's stockpile. **has a flashback of the Jesse James movie... "should we give him a proper burial?"** **evil grin**
So lets start chatting, putting ideas together, and start learning from one another.
