  • hello

I have been looking at this forum for a couple of months now and thought I would participate.
I am a family man, a Veteran (6 years active duty Army Medic) and I am currently a LEO in NE Ohio.
I am worried about our current political atmosphere in this country and thought I would share an article that I just came across that is worrying to me.

Welcome from Texas. I don't put much stock into "centers for American progress" but thanks for the link. I have to show an ID to do a lot of things in this country. one of the common complaints is that showing ID will effect the poor. however the poor in Texas can get free ID cards from the state, and i should add they need them to get welfare, medicaid and other social services. i think the real argument and making sure everyone only gets 1 vote and if you do vote you can legally do so in that area. Can voter fraud be proven? no, but id is a quick way to help prevent it, and i would love an honest conversation with anyone who can not get an ID.

long lines and shorter early voting issues is a different matter and that should be a state by state choice. I've seen lots of old people with walkers that double as a chair. That's just one of the examples they gave that i can think of without going back to the article.

Sorry i ranted for a minute there, but voting is one of the rights I care for deeply. Anyways welcome to the forum!

            Welcome to the site
Whats the point of having and not knowing how to use? You dont have a car and not know how to drive it do you? Having the tools for the job is worthless with out the knowledge of how to use it!
