Hi everyone. I'm pleased to join this great forum. I've enjoyed the PAW videos, which led me to find this site. I've spent some time on the forums and have read some very helpful posts. To both the site owner, moderators, and wonderful contributors, please accept some additional praise and encouragement to keep doing what you are doing.

I'm here for the same reasons I suspect many are - to enjoy the community interest and knowledge around preparedness and survival that exists here.

In addition to the forums the public can view, their are a few areas that are viewable and available ONLY to Members of the site here. These include

*A Site Members subforum wherein SurvivalandPreparedness training videos are posted regularly. In addition many knowledgeable folks from the forums post their own videos and share information there because it's not viewable to "lurkers." You will need a minimum post count of 20 to view this subforum and the training videos. Often times also, additional shows of The Survival Report podcast will be posted in this subforum also. These are in addition to the weekly shows that are available to the public.

*A survival fiction subforum titled "Survival Shorts." We made this section viewable only to site members a few months back. It has NO minimum post count but if you are not a site member and logged on, it will not even show up on the list of forums. In here you will find survival fiction stories both old and new, finished and in progress including works such as "Second Chance", "Lucky" and other popular works of fiction.

*A barter/for sale and trade board. This also is available only to Members of the forums. A minimum post count of 30 is necessary to view and use this subforum in order to keep down spammers and would be profiteers here only for the chance to promote themselves. BARTER BOARD HAS SINCE BEEN CONDENSED INTO THE MEMBERS SUBFORUM.

NO ONE gets banned at the drop of a hat here. NO ONE gets banned for disagreeing with a mod. NO ONE gets banned for not posting here.

People get banned here essentially just for two reasons- being dumbbutts and/or spamming. Again, all bans are permanent so please think before you call someone names or act like a child.

I am putting this here to clarify your previous post that I deleted wherein you asked why we had a "high post count requirement." Their is no "post count requirement" for membership on the forums. As you stated previously you were lurking for a while -and that's fine- but you evidently missed the info above. If you want to access the members only section of the forums, then you'll need to have a post count of 30 . Hardly work, hardly a big deal, and definitely not a "requirement."

No one expects you or anyone else here to kiss arse, but I do expect people not to talk out of their rear ends or make dumb statements that are not true. If you don't understand something ASK.
