    Lurking here for awhile I've noticed an environment of civility, always a plus for someone who prefers manners over chaos ;)

    My husband and I live in a rural area within a reasonable commute to a large city. He is the commuter, I am the Chatelaine :D

    The usual fertilizer factories inhabit our acreage and stalls, and they pretty much decide our daily schedule LOL. We have recently downsized our numbers and began looking into raised beds and container gardening due to medical factors and the natural aging process.

    I grew up always having an affinity for animals and gardening, my mother and aunts taught me the lady arts of home and kitchen. My father and uncles taught me the fine arts of shooting, fishing, and animal care.

    Looking forward to learning and sharing in order to preserve and honor a way of life that's becoming all to rare these days.

                      Welcome to S & P we are glad you are here. Lots of good people and info here.

                      Do a quick search before asking your question, we have talked about a lot of things so it might be covered.

                      Include meta tags on threads you start so that they will be easier to search for.

                      Check out the blog articles there is some good info there.

                      Look on youtube for videos made by PAW Productions - delta69alpha and also Survival Report.

                      Lastly share your experience with the rest of us.

                      I do raised beds and have found that it is easier to garden sitting on the edge vs bent over and its more enjoyable without back pain :)
