I have hunted and camped all over AZ for the last 33 years and I feel confident in just about any survival situation outside of an urban setting. Unfortunately, I spend the majority of my time in an urban setting.
To resolve this shortcoming I have been actively involved in a preppers group here in the East valley for a little more than a year now. The group is lead by some very knowledgeable and seasoned preppers who have been a great resource. The number one thing I have learned is how much I do not know and how ill-prepared I am for an bug-in. Things have improved dramatically over the last year but there is always more to learn and do.
I am particularly interested in learning about alternate power sources, HAM radio, canning, and long term storage for food and water. In return, I offer what I know about reloading, firearms, knives, camping, trapping, skinning, and outdoor survival.
