  • hi from western mt.

I see from the introductions i'm not the only one who lurked before leaping in.

the disclamer about not having any rights sold me. i don't want the right to insult you. just want to trade info and wisdom without all the roof top snipers.
I also appreciated that there are others who share my 55 year love affair with the .22 rifle.

in my profile i said i was an accomplished outdoor survivalist. to qualify that it just means i've learned that without fire, water and a companion i'm not going to last long.
looking forward to reading through all the good stuff iv'e found so far and you all seem pretty straight up.

P.S. i admit to being a digital neanderthal, can someone tell me what tinfoil means?

Hayseed, Welcome from Northern KY. I think you will be very happy with the group of people gathered here. They have been very welcoming and very straight forward. Great info from good people.

Not much Bull Snort here. Those who bring it with them are generally not happy with the comments they receive from on high and other members.

Tin foil refers to the little hats we put on to keep big brother or aliens from being able to control our minds and read our thoughts while we pound out possible scenarios/outcomes on the keyboard!! lol
It is usually used when folks are talking about what many percieve to be way out conspiracy theories and alien abduction (no alien abuction stories here)!!!

The Urban Dictionary defines the TinFoil Hat as-
"Propoganda designed to cover up a massive government conspiracy. Begining in the late 1970's, the United States government tried to cover up its radio-wave thought-control program by circulating a false rumor that people could shield their minds from government intrusion by wearing a tinfoil hat. In truth, a tinfoil hat only improves reception and makes it easier for the government to read your mind. Speak truth to power!"

Another superb description can be found here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tin_foil_hat aah, aaaah, bullsnort!! bless me.

My take on it is "Just because some of us are paranoid doesn't mean that no-one is out to get us" again lol
I guess a bit of the last one is true......

Honestly, way to wordy for the intro comeback, but again Welcome and I hope that clears up the tinfoil issue!

We live less than an hour from Covington, I really like this area and would love to check out Motana, have been through there a few times but never had time to "visit".
I hope you have a great time sharing and learning from this forum.
