    Greetings, I am a New Member

    I am a long time survivalist from TN and I have joined this forum in the hope of learning more about the following:

    -the fact that prepper groups under the ANP are divided into schisms (I have visted six of them) with half the people seeking a survival group to join and half proclaiming that they are current regime supporters who consider it paranoid to do much more than learn a few survival skills from FEMA and other government agencies.

    -how I can find born and bred Tennesseans (in the East TN area), like myself to talk to about joining our small survival group.

    I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time, with my family, enjoying the outdoors and our dogs.

          Welcome to the boards!

          Original East TN boy here, but transplanted into OKC for the military. There are a few of us Volunteers around.
          Experience is a cruel teacher, gives the exam first and then the lesson.

                Howdy from Oklahoma Kurt. Sometimes you gotta go through a lot of weeds to find green grass...well it sounded good to say anyway! LOL
                There are level headed folks out there just like you. I imagine after a while of joining in here and maybe another survival site or two you'll find some good folks in your neck of the woods. I've got a brother in Jackson, TN but he's still stuck in the Republican vs Democrat mode and thinks Karl Rove has all of the answers!

                  Welcome From GA. This is a great site with good folks, ideas and lessons.

                  On the group thing, that type of "weeding out" takes years. Unless you have a good core of friends that you can convince or at least sway, you are going to go through a "Prepper Idol" type of contest.
                  There are so many variables that go into that selection or matching process. I may not be set up like some of the other folks on here or have all of the training that I want. But, I know I can be trusted. Trust is the biggest thing in this. I would rather have someone I know that I can trust. They could only have a fraction of what I have in preps but I would have them over one of the Dumbsday Poopers types of suburban commandonts
