Hello to everyone here. I am looking to share where I can. I am a botanist with degree in wildlife ecology and computer science and ethnobotanist extraordinaire (aka, native plant professional in medicine, food and utility). Owner/operator of a wholesale company Alpine Wildseed though currently on a health sabbatical. In my early days, I was a wilderness ranger for the US Forest Service (see The Wilderness Act of 1964). Sometimes they sent be out backpacking for 10 days at a time on rugged trails and cross country - alone. Please believe me when I tell you I have extreme experience in this regard in remote regions and know how to 'bug out' and survive.
I hope to find other people near me to share in survival preparation, foraging (ie, half my food from the wilds) etc, camping trips to help us get accustom to remote living, etc. While I own firearms, I am weak in that regard. I hope to find and develop a bug out community willing to relocate when SHTF to remote regions of wilderness that do in fact still exist in the lower 48. The initial 2 years will be a nomadic existence until 99 percent of urbanites and yahoos kill themselves off (aka, my group will be highly trained gorilla group) later to return to help the urbanite survivors. I am looking for those with special interest in primitive dwelling construction, animal husbandry, a few with practical real experience with military training and use of arms but who are committed to peace rather than violence as the very, very last resort and who hold to the integrity and teachings of peace of Jesus the Christ.
I encourage everyone here to read or listen (mp3) to the Story Mystery Island by Jules Verne available for free from librivox.org. An excellent survival story that no longer is copyrighted and free. Jules is a true intellect who wrote the story in the mid 1800's.
Hello to all and a special thanks to the founder of this website and videos.
