  • Hi from North Dakota

Hello! I'm a disaster preparedness newbie. My husband is recently retired from the military. We have no children-yet. I run a daycare and love my work. Have known for years we should be prepared for a disaster. What got me off my butt is a friend telling me about the EMP threat and reading the book 'One Second After'. My husband thinks I am overreacting concerning the EMP threat but that's ok.

Made my first disaster purchase last weekend-camping dishes/silverware and a crank lantern. Looking on different websites for food, water containers, etc... We recently bought a 5 acre lot and plan on building in about 2 years. Have space in our plans for a good sized storage area and thinking of making it reinforced and hidden. Look forward to learning more from this website!
