    I'm only 18 and i leave with my parents and they think I'm a bit off for want to start investing to get prepped and them approving of a gun isn't working right now so i really need help on how to start because no one is behind be at my house .:confused:

    Pardon the pun, but you don't need any tribulations. I would follow your parents advice. You've made a good start by coming here. Lots of good, honest and knowledgeable people contribute. Research your interest through the threads posted and don't hesitate to ask questions. Start small in your preps and build up gradually. Are you paying room and board ? Start stocking what the household likes and uses. Buy extra items used by all (from bathroom to laundry to garage). Buy new camping gear, extra flashlights or lanterns etc.

        Give it time. Show them your responsible and don't act freaked out or try to freak them out about what is happening.

        I started at 13, I know where your coming from. I remember having the "can we buy some rice" talk at the grocery store with my Mom back then... LOL

          Do your parents read Fiction at all?
          Something like the book "One Second After" has been told to get some people to open their eyes to possible problems. (I am reading it right now)
