I started prepping in March of 09 after reading One Second After. I have spent a lot of time since then becoming informed. I start the day with Drudge & Survivalblog.com. I had planned to spend my retirement years playing with slot cars, writing, & spoiling grandkids. I am still doing that, but have other priorities in process. I decided early on that I am too old & poor to build or buy a remote retreat out west, so I have become an urban prepper. It is a work in process, but I am resolved not to go quietly into the night.
