  • Hello from the UK.

Hi everyone, I'm posting from the UK. I'm looking foreward to learning new info to help me continue my goals of self sufficiency, and also hoping my current level of knowledge will help others with any contributions I can make. As a long time UK prepper I've covered all of the basics and am now concentrating on skills rather than physical preps, this seems like a nice site and I hope I'll be welcome here.
    Cheers,
    Mr.Grey.

Welcome from Georgia. I'd be interested in learning how prepping in the UK may be different then here in the USA. Without going into great detail of course.

I think you'd be suprised at how little they differ, we all have the same requirements of food, water, shelter and comfort. Those factors are handled the same way here as with you. The skills needed to live a pre electric life are similar, I would say I tend to focus on Victorian to post WW11 skills rather than pioneer and mountain men skills for example because of culture and family history etc. I hunt, shoot and fish just as you can, Firearms are available over here, I have them, but the emphasis on personal defence is different. Your building regulations and cheap land are probably the biggest differences in affecting one's ability to prep. Advantages exist on both sides of the Atlantic, but they are mostly minor differences.
                Hope that was brief enough,
                Mr.Grey.
