  • Hello From North Central Indiana

Hello All, I am a older retired Gentleman from North Central Indiana. I have been interested in Survival and Preparedness for over 40 years.

In the beginning it mostly targeted toward being hurt or lost while hunting or camping. Then it expanded to other areas.

I believe that it does not have to be a major event to need to be prepared. Personally, my preps have helped me a lot in the past for such things as job lost, long sickness and unable to work. Winter storms, snowed in and no electric. Back up heat, the food and ways to prepare it brings a real weight off the problems at the time. You would be surprised how happy you will be when you are out of work and have a couple cases of toilet stored back...LOL

You will find I will not post a lot. If I have something to say or add I will. If someone has already posted the same information I would have, I will not make a post about agreeing. I find it rather silly and not that interested in my post count anyway.

I hope to learn from this site and maybe be able to add something to it once in a while.

I hope you stop somewhere here in Indiana and have one of our breaded tenderloins. I traveled a lot when I was younger and nobody seemed to know what they are. If you travel up US69 then pull off into Huntington and go to Nick's Kitchen. Suppose to have been where it all started. Not sure if it is but they make the best ones I ever tasted. Made fresh from pork loin as you wait. They are huge and taste great.

Oh man, there for a second I thought that was my original post. But then I remembered I left North Central Indiana, after I graduated from High School (Kokomo).
good to see more fellow Hossiers on here.

that's too funny, I am a little younger as I graduated in '83. Go Kats!

By the way do/did you go to the corner pub for your Tenderloins? Where was your preferred place to go for those?

How about Dirty Dan's to get the Apple Fritters?

                              btw...
I lived on Markland Ave., growing up there. Not the right side of the railroad tracks.
