Hello everyone, wanted to say hi. I think a better way to introduce myself is to actually make this into a post. Here it goes...
I live right outside of the terrible city Philadelphia. I can't stand it here. The Eagles are a terrible football team and worse than them are the Eagles fans. Anyways, my problem is this. Philadelphia is terrible place in the event of a disaster. Even if the city wasn't hit by a disaster, it would still be insane to get out. If you notice on google maps, Philadelphia really only has two highways leading out of the city. I-76 (PA Turnpike) and I-95. There are some other routes but you would most likely have to take those main routes to get anywhere. I-76 would be blocked within an hour and I-95 would lead you to Baltimore and that place is like Philadelphia's little brother of idiocy. My questions...
Would it be best to embrace the inevitable highway system or to maintain my survival in my home? I could live on my garden, collected rations, fortified home with my weaponry and german shepherd but would it be worth it in a east coast region like Philadelphia? This area offers only 8 months of the year with good weather. There is little wildlife (although my neighborhood does have rabbits everywhere) for hunting. Snare traps and a possible deer would be possible but extremely limited. So, if anyone would like to extend the topic then that would be great.
Yes, I do want to move from this area.
