Hello from the Great White, uh, Middle?

Hey,

Just wanted to get this first post out of the way. I'm from a part of the US that kinda sits between "out West" and what more and more people are referring to as the Midwest. I used to think we were the Midwest, but apparently that has shifted to the other side of the river - and east from there.

We are currently "locked" in a blizzard so the down time and immediate focus has been on survival stuff. Been putting together mini-kits, soda-can stoves and such, just to keep busy and have some fun.

Anyway, I'm here and I believe I'm pretty much of the same mind as the moderator who posted "Read This First" or whatever that post is titled. I try to follow my firearms instructor's mantra - when it is time for battle, fight fiercely and intelligently. The rest of the time, be nice.

while i liked both the D's and the 'ota's......kinda flat for me.......but it was an interesting time....more west looks to suit me if i was to travel again...
