I hail from vegas, but thru a 6 yr stint in the Marines and a hot chick that I married, I ended up in a little town north of Charlotte.  Have always had the sheepdog/prepper mindset forever, but only in the last 3 years have I really put in work.  Food storage and gearing up, has been costly, but will pay off in the long run.  I have 3 awesome kids and a wonderful wife whose lives will depend on my preparations, so I dont skimp on the little things.  Have followed SurvivalBlog for a long time, and have read Patriots 3 times and now have on Audiobook.  Rawles "How to" book is a dogear'd, highlighted mess.  I have read a ton of books in the survival genre, and even some online fiction that I have found.  I have just joined a range near me to hone my shooting skills, and I do a little everyday to get prepared.  I dont worry about the future.  While I am nowhere near where I wish I could be, only a winning lottery ticket of EPIC proportions could get me to that level of preparedness.  Anyway, I look forward to reading and bouncing some ideas off of people on the board.
