lumber prices!!

stopped by local hardware/lumber business (small town small chain but mighty convenient) in our county seat.
preacher friend was there and we caught up on old times.
i was buying roofing repair stuff... he was buying 1 2x4

over 10.00 i showed shock out loud... salesman and clerk glared at me... (both knew me by name)

i apologized when i got to register, and clerk said "things are getting crazy.. prices through the roof."

so I just checked the prices at online at my local Lowes.

2x4x8 whitewood - $8.38
2x4x8 Top Choice whitewood - $9.89
2x4x9 PT - $8.88
2x4x8 PT Prime - $10.47

So, from my post on 4/27/21 they have increased.
