big storm came through no blooms!

big storm blew through..some limbs down is biggest problem seen so far..
till wife sees me... she's been planting, and cleaning up.
she's upset...
you know those blooms she asked? i don't know much about and don't usually even notice them..
she does though and thinks i should... so i answered, "sure sweetie. what you seen?"

well the blooms were blown off. the abc and def trees... just about all of the blooms are gone...

now i'm paying attention... no blooms means no fruit.

Not good, it could be a rough year for you and others. Be thankful you don't live in Michigan, where you couldn't even go to get more plants of any kind. Any chance the trees will come back? I don't have fruit trees so I'm not familiar with how that could work.

i think the trees will be fine and produce next year.
but unless there are some hidden or yet to develop blooms. then those trees won't have fruit this year.
is what i think this means.

after losing power, one of the first thing we did was check refrigerator in barn. after michael hit in 2018 we had a huge amount of meat that spoiled when we lost electricity.

checking that fridge one thing we found was satsumas in a walmart bag.. they had been there for ?months? and taste great. it was a lesson... as crop is diminishing, we just need to refrigerate some to extend time we would have citrus.

I checked the blooms on my tomato, pepper, and squash plants - everything looked good except for one pepper plant that's MUCH worse for the wear.

A friend of mine that lives in Chattanooga lost all of his trees in the storm...uprooted. I was going to take him a generator, but he has a small one on his camper to keep his freezer going. House is ok. After that he has decided to start over elsewhere with a smaller home, more property, and no HOA.

East Brainerd..good altitude. They lost power for a week and water for a couple of days.

Didn't have to worry about the storm knocking the blooms of my blueberries this year. I fooled around and pruned too late so I don't get blueberry pancakes until next year.
