    Here is a design that was common in Florida above ground fall out shelters. Its also hidden in plain sight. Their OPSEC not so good, but oh well. Search florida fall out shelters you will be surprised at the amount of hits. though the AT&T one in Ft pierce and the one in Mt Dora take the first few pages up.

    Some local historical relics are great-looking, comfortable living space that just happens to be a bomb shelter

      Just a thought to save some money. It is Amount of dense fill that stops all the rads, (not Concrete block) so you could top off roof of shelter with sand if you have a block on all sides to hold in sand or a second wall of 4 inch block built up over roof line of shelter then filled with sand or any dense material. As long as you meet a 30-50 pounds of over pressure strength on the inner wall you would be good to go. Don,t forget air transfer and blast protection on intake and outlet.
