I understand living in a semi rural area has its share or freedoms and critters.
But i get tired on non collard ...no leashed dogs.
One i consider them a threat to my livestock and my own dog/family etc.
Jus venting.
The last two mornings my AM run has been cut due to a new dog to the area. A young blackmouth cure. Hes a puppy still you can tell and he stays to his area. But hes come chasing out at me and survival dog twice now.
1st..i just steady advanced and he backed down after a few "go...git" yells. Survival dog did good.
Today..they both got braver. Curr did because of his lil tag along poo eater that lives under the house near by. And mine got more defensive since there was two.

My beef is keep your dang gate closed or put the dogs on a runner.

And tag /collar it. Imho no tags means feral or stray...which means possible manbearpig flu.

Guess its time to up armor while on my jogs.
I just wanna run...jot worry about a dog fight...

Fyi. No alternate routes as they sit at the only junction. And the return routes ive had similar issues(plus it turn it into a 2+ mile loop then..lol )

"Bear" brand Pepper spray... for dog's as well as its original use. Its just not the rural areas there are ignorant dog owners. My subdivison has about 20 of them ranging from ankle biters to large pit bulls. Wonder mutt almost ate the chi wow wow across the street. they just let it run the hood. I was out with wonder mutt and it came at him. wonder mutt pinned it to the ground with his mouth. They freaked and threatened suit through their child... no english for parents. I reminded them of the county's leash law. every time it roams free (still) they run after it when it heads to my house and carry it home. We had a pitt bull attack in our hood a few years back that made local news, ignorant owner let roam free. That dog was put down by county, since then on mine and wonder mutts walks (every night rain or shine) I carry the bear brand pepper spray.






Edited to add, nothing against pit bull's love all dogs. Wonder mutt is a current 108 pound shepard.

Sometimes people in the boonies are more inconsiderate than those in suburbia or the city... Then when you do something, like pepper spray it, they get all Hatfield & McCoy on you...

I can relate with that on so many levels! I live in a rural area and had a similar situation. I love animals and would never abuse or intentionally hurt one. But I will defend myself against one if needed...non-lethal is a good way, of course. The guy said "You do that to my dog and I'll pull a gun on you". I replied "We can go to that level if you choose."

Yeah this is only about 200+ yards from my place...beat up trailer with "migrant "workers. Id rather not get into a feud.
I got some old OC spray in the truck...but my luck id spray me...survival dog...stray dog LOL.
