We finally got around to picking up a tractor for the ol homestead. We settled on a 26 horse Kubota with a front end loader and backhoe. It's a diesel and is really handy because it's small. I've dug a waterline and removed a pretty large stump with it already. It's great for things like patching holes in the driveway. I've used it to build berms for the range as well. If I had to do it over again, I'd buy a little bigger but it'll work for what we need. We plan on buying a box tiller for it to expand our garden and when I do, I'll post how it works. If you plan on getting into a tractor, just buy a size bigger than you think you need is my advice. Anyhoo, someone asked me to post a little about it, so I did. Hope this helps someone out.

lol...
thanks.
the shopping list is so long and the $$ are limited...
I'd sure like to have a small backhoe...
is the backhoe Kubota brand? and does it hook to 3 pt hitch or is it integral (I'm not sure how to ask this!)
part of frame of the Kubota>
I started shopping for a backhoe a couple of times and was pricing used and new and brand name and off brand... I was hoping I could use 3 pt hitch for attaching.
thanks
