  • im a lumberjack....product info advice wanted

We've had some rains and winds here lately. Got home after work and wife goes " we got fun work..."
A tree had hit the house. Nothing crazy. It was a red bay that died last spring. I had been waiting for my swamp to dry some to cut it down etc. Well mamma nature helped me.
I have a small mchullugh eager beaver..but its been on the Fritz. Plus its small 14 iirc.
Anyway..I'm gouge to get protus power o this tree with the bow saw and axe..when I see the pos.electric saw my dad left me before he moved. Chain was rusty etc. I slab some 10/30 in there..and off I go.
That junky thing worked pretty dang. Good.
But its a toy IMHO. Now. I want a saw before storm season etc. I wont be cutting down three ft thick oaks but 4-10 inch trees /storm damage etc.
I was looking at a husgavarna 40 CC 16 inch around 260 at Lowes and similar sized e ho /sthil iirc at hoe depot.
I'd like to be in that mid 200$ price range sans oil etc.
Anything crazy or special or to stay away from???
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

Can't go wrong with Husky or Stihl...Anything else is a toy, and you will end up replacing it too soon....
    Salutations,

When I was around them alot... It seemed everyone had either a Husky or a Stihl.

Granted I never had to buy one but it seemed those that relied on their saws regularly preferred those 2 brands.
